Since publishing our National issue, we have learnt that some of our readers of the e-copy did not get hold of the hard copy. The response surprised us. We did not seek not to offend, and we sincerely regret having not advised you where to pick up a copy.

Strangely, while many readers have grasped that "Surgically alters thumbs" represents satirical social commentary, many who got a hard copy, alas, commented on the size, content and how good looking the magazine was.

Many criticisms of the magazine, however, do not recognise its purpose. Our aim is to tell those success stories in our community either pictorial or opinions that are never covered in the main-stream news papers.

We chose to create some thing new our stories include how to access services, immigration, housing, Music, fashion any thing that will show the diverse talents our community is contributing.

Careful reading of this month's issue makes it clear to any critical reader that we have tried to cover quite a bit of what is happening in the community.

Well, how about the politics? There are honest differences in opinion on what we should and not cover. It would be a regrettable mistake on our part to think that everyone would see politics the same way. We welcome debate about this piece, especially in the next issue of this magazine. We hope the opportunity presented now for a constructive debate on this will not be lost. On the other hand, we'll leave it to the politicians.
